Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

Pikamark is a new-tab replacement that organizes your existing Chrome bookmarks. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any data.

  • No network requests. Pikamark has no backend and makes no external network calls. All code and assets ship in the extension package.
  • No analytics or tracking. There is no telemetry, crash reporting, or usage tracking of any kind.
  • All data stays on-device. Bookmarks are read/written through the chrome.bookmarks API; app settings (theme, layout, notes, favorites, etc.) are stored locally via chrome.storage.local. Nothing leaves your browser.

Permissions

Permission Why it's needed
bookmarks Read and write your Bookmarks Bar/Other/Mobile folders to render and edit the board.
favicon Load site icons for bookmarks via Chrome's built-in _favicon API (no third-party requests).
storage Persist app settings (theme, notes, favorites, layout) locally via chrome.storage.local.
tabs Read your currently open tabs' titles/URLs only when you use "Save tabs as folder".

My commitment

In line with Chrome Web Store policies, Pikamark:

  • Does not sell or transfer user data to third parties, outside of the approved use cases.
  • Does not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose of organizing your bookmarks.
  • Does not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
